Another trip on the same week.
This time, I went with a bunch of friends that I have known since High School. (You guys rock). We had planned this trip for about 3 weeks now and we brought up cooking utesils for a steamboat dinner.
Boy was it worth it. There was a lot of things that you should do in a lifetime and having steamboat in the mountaintop is one of them. I mean the cool air( Now I know I said I miss the fresh cool air in the last post, but pls ignore that sentence) ,good food and company was enough to make me forget about KL,(gasps of Horror)at least for a while.( sighs of relieve)
Anyway we only spend like 1 day on top and the next day we went back to KL.I don't have pics of that event but I shall try to post them up soon.
The second part of...
Yes how I yearn for the cool and fresh air of the highlands.
We won't give up on you so don't you give up on us....

I'm in there somewhere...
Well it was memorable and I am certain that everyone of us took something back.Good memories.

The long weekend,Part 1
I must say that the camp went beyond my expectations. It was amazing to say the least.Maybe that because I went without any expectations. However 200 happy campers can't be wrong and this shows that FES really did a good job. God Bless the good people of FES they really did a terrific job considering this is the first camp of this nature that was organised.
The camp was divided into talks, workshops, games and act ivies. There was never a dull moment and amazingly we(at least most of us) manage to stay in a locked compound for 5 days !!! If this was an ordinary scenario, this would constituted to be false imprisonment I sure.Haha
I also manage to met new people and at the same time reinenforce current friendships. What was shocking was how connected everyone appear to be.I will address this issue a bit later.Truly shocking.
Anyway, there was a more serious note on this camp which would be the underlining message would be that occupied the minds of many.
It gave me food for thought where it made me realised that I shouldn't give up so easily on this issue. That because there are many things that are worth fighting for. But I would say that the most compelling reason would be because there are still people who care.
I am indeed moved.May God grant me wisdom to make the correct decision.

That 's a shame really. After all it is look like a nice place to visit and it does seem to have a lot of offer. Anyways, this is the video. I hope NZ get more attention other than being the land of a zillion sheep and the land of hobbits.
Cheers.

The trip to Tioman,Day 4
Now my friends have other plans on their minds. You know how it is when an oppournity arises and you want to do something crazy? Well this dude decide this was the time when he attempted to jump down the pier so the ground for the sake of it. I think it has something to do with spending too much time under the sun and that fried his brains I think.
This is him contemplating should I or should I not...
After encouragement from me( yes I am evil, muahaha), he takes the leap of faith..
And lands with a spat...
No worries, he is ok only that he promises that he will never do it again....
Oh well it has been a great holiday...
Tioman is a good place to visit..
The image of the beach that will always remain in my mind..
Till we meet again....
The end..
The trip to Tioman,Day 3
Well the walk was worth it though. We manage to see plenty of monitor lizards. These creatures look fearsome and I made sure I was in a safe range when I snap these photos..
Big
Bigger
Biggest!!!!!
I remember watching those B grade movies about vicious Komodo dragons and well you get the idea.
Anyways, we decided to buy some stuff and the convience shop on the island is quite well equip. The prices are not bad at all considering the cost of transportation but then again it is a Duty free island.Well they should keep the whole Malaysia duty free..
The shop.
So after buying some stuff, we headed for lunch at some restaurant.
Notice the Black and White picture. I was messing around with my camera and this was the result.
I order keropok lekor and maggi mee goreng.
Keropok Lekor
Maggi Mee Goreng.
I didn't have desert but the others did. And this is what they had.
Ais kacang..
Ais Syrup Ball. Haha. Yeah all of these tasted great and was prices reasonably too. Congratulations to the Tourism Board for keeping the prices competitive.
After lunch, we did the beach again( Yes I am afraid that what we did for the entire trip) and played Frisbee.
Swimming and snorkeling.
The Frisbee and the ball being tossed together.
While the rest were doing their stuff, I went around taking photographs.
Shade..
I was here...
Footprints..
So after the day had ended, we we tired but glad. But due to intense exposure to the sun, this is the result..
Well I guess it was worth it wasn't it?
End of day 3...
The trip to Tioman,Day 2
So at this time of the hour, most people are not awake yet so I take the opportunity to explore a bit.
Yes even on this island we Malaysian still maintain the habit of confusing and annoying people with the "Papan tanda yang hebat".
This is something you don't see everyday..
Right then, once everyone got the game up, we headed to the restaurant for breakfast. After that, it was the beach again, What else?
The trip allowed us to get a better look at the geographical outline of the island and this is a typical scene from the boat as we head to the park.
We finally reached our destination and yes it is pretty much a research centre with a difference.
Here you are able to swim around and they have these really unique platforms made out of plastic containers.
You can be sure we had a lot of fun utilizing these platforms like cannonballing from the top.But what was more impressive was the amount of fishes at this place.
The fishes here and like in most resorts are pretty tame in the sense that they will approached you if you feed them. And the come in the hordes.
Well after spending time swimming around we then head to other spots to swim. Time flies by and soon it is time to return back to resort. On the way, I catch a glimpse of a Navy boat and a cruise ship.
A destroyer I think.
A cruise ship..
So after a long day of swimming and watching sea animals, this was a heavenly sight.
Food!!!
And drinks...
The results was a mountain of food and a lot of liquid being consumed.Yes I am that hungry.
After a long day,I though I had pretty much seen everything. Boy was I wrong. You know when they say that nature is wondrous and beautiful? Well I kinda understood after seeing this..
The sun says goodbye..
Well it has been a great day.End of day 2.
The trip to Tioman, Day 1
Yeah seawater and fresh air at last. The difference between KL and small town is that you actually take the time to see how nice the weather is in the morning. Or maybe it is just me being the tourist.
Anyhow the weather is just fine and we wait another 4 hours go get into a ferry to take us to Pulau Tioman. The journey is about 2 hours but the wait is worth it.
Once we arrive, the good folk at the resort serves us with drinks
The check in process appear to the painless and in no time we have access to our rooms.
The key to the room..
The toilet.
The scenary outside the chalet.
And as such without wasting any more time, we head for the world biggest swimming pool, the sea.Hey it was great.I have swam for quite a while so it was a good exprience.Without realising it, time caught up with us and it was dinner already.
So we headed to the restaurant for dinner and after that, I had a look around the place. This is intresting was to decorate a lamp.
This also caught my eye..
In case you were wondering what this is, it is a snout of a sawfish. It is about 100 years old and was caught around the waters of the island.Deadly weapon.
Also what would an island be without it's seawater inhabitants.
Some kind of fish..
It a crab!!
The lobster..
I then saw this sign...
Maybe I should check it out...
..........
Ach wunderbar!!! There you are... And so cheap as well. Hei maybe there is some benefit to visit our own islands after all..
12 year old Chivas going for Rm 543.00 for 4.5 litres. That enough to keep you going for 12 years? Haha.
The JD ain't too bad either. RM399 for 3 litres.Massive.
I looked around for a bit and after that it was light out.So ends the first day.
