Last night

Was amazing. The amount of talent that we have in Malaysia is unbelievable. I guessing that no matter where you are in the world, there is bound to be talent, it is just a matter of finding it and polishing it. And I think we are doing just fine with this kind of events...

There were group dances and a violinist that performed yesterday. But what strike me the most was this particular guy that performed an acoustic version of classical gas.The dude was unbelievable. I mean I have seen people perform amazing feats using the other musical instruments but the guitar? That's just new.

Don't get me wrong, I think everyone can perform well using any musical instrument even the triangle for crying out loud but it is just that it is just so rare that you can find someone who can play the guitar that way.Cheers mate. All the best to you...

This is a clip of the song he played.Enjoy..

Iphone

I was planning to blog about this item for a long time but somehow thing just got in the way. Anyways now that I have gather enough determination and inspiration to write about this. So then, I sure you tech junkies have already heard about the Iphone.

For those who are less in to technology, it is a piece of technology that combines a cellphone, iPod music player, camera, text messaging, e-mail and Web browsing. It also has a camera and a multimedia player.

Needless to say, this product is gonna be a goldmine and a cash cow and had other competitors up and standing. It made them think" Now why did we thought of this before this".

In regards to its interface, it works on a touchscreen and a virtual keyboard.

The price a 4 GB model is going for US$499 and an 8 GB model for US$599.

Yikes, $$$ .This could be the most expensive phone yet.

So I guessing that everyone gonna chill for a while and wait for the price to drop.I just might do the same.

Oh blogspot

How you test my patience...

Arghh

Me getting older!! :-(

I can't believe..

That I can find something to do everyday.Somehow there are things that I can do everyday and that I haven't actually had a dull moment. Oh well, it is good I guess. ..

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

Yes it is my

100th post on this blog. I just wished that I had started blogging earlier. Sigh....

Do you remember this?

If this annoys you then good. At least we are on the same page. But somehow if you think about it, the person who created this is rather clever isn't it, taking something so pointless and random and turning it into something that people would actually watch. Think about all the ringtones and music videos if you like. That what I call amazing...

Wow..

Today there was event in CityHarvest Church in conjunction with the Emerge 2007 event. The event was entitled "Fashion – Streets of Tokyo".Two of my cell group members participated in the event and the had to create a dress for the competition. Wow what they did was amazing, I didn't know that they could actually design such a dress. If I had pictures I would post it up here but at the moment, I would just described it as a fusion of Harajuku and Goth designs.

Well done, Jaynie and Jasmine. Hope to see you all in the finals!!!

It is just me

or is really happening?
I happen to notice that the atm seem to be "out of service" after 00.00. This is annoying as I am unable to utilized this service when I so required. I mean it is a machine right so it would suffer from fatigue or anything. thus allowing for a 24 hour operation.

It is just bad that this kind of things should happen.

The trip to Tioman,Day 4

The final day already.Wow has it really been 4 days already?

Well we were going to leave at 12.00 so I thought maybe we should just walk the beach for the last time. The beach is a great place to reflect on things. I know it is stereotype but true. I mean you can't do it on the mountain-too windy. The desert -too hot. The ocean-too wet. Maybe the jungle. Anyways it has always been a good place to sit back and relax.

Now my friends have other plans on their minds. You know how it is when an oppournity arises and you want to do something crazy? Well this dude decide this was the time when he attempted to jump down the pier so the ground for the sake of it. I think it has something to do with spending too much time under the sun and that fried his brains I think.

This is him contemplating should I or should I not...

After encouragement from me( yes I am evil, muahaha), he takes the leap of faith..

And lands with a spat...

No worries, he is ok only that he promises that he will never do it again....

Oh well it has been a great holiday...

Tioman is a good place to visit..

The image of the beach that will always remain in my mind..

Till we meet again....

The end..

The trip to Tioman,Day 3

Wow day 3 already..
Yeah after breakfast, we decided to go for a bit a jungle tracking. We headed to the trail behind our chalet and this lead us to a waterfall. It was rather small there was nothing much to see. So we just head back to where we came from. A few pictures of our walk..

Really sorry, my hands were just tired from all that swimming .

Here is the picture of the waterfall.

Well the walk was worth it though. We manage to see plenty of monitor lizards. These creatures look fearsome and I made sure I was in a safe range when I snap these photos..

Big

Bigger

Biggest!!!!!

I remember watching those B grade movies about vicious Komodo dragons and well you get the idea.

Anyways, we decided to buy some stuff and the convience shop on the island is quite well equip. The prices are not bad at all considering the cost of transportation but then again it is a Duty free island.Well they should keep the whole Malaysia duty free..

The shop.

So after buying some stuff, we headed for lunch at some restaurant.

Notice the Black and White picture. I was messing around with my camera and this was the result.

I order keropok lekor and maggi mee goreng.

Keropok Lekor

Maggi Mee Goreng.

I didn't have desert but the others did. And this is what they had.

Ais kacang..

Ais Syrup Ball. Haha. Yeah all of these tasted great and was prices reasonably too. Congratulations to the Tourism Board for keeping the prices competitive.

After lunch, we did the beach again( Yes I am afraid that what we did for the entire trip) and played Frisbee.

Swimming and snorkeling.

The Frisbee and the ball being tossed together.

While the rest were doing their stuff, I went around taking photographs.

Shade..

I was here...

Footprints..

So after the day had ended, we we tired but glad. But due to intense exposure to the sun, this is the result..

Well I guess it was worth it wasn't it?

End of day 3...

The trip to Tioman,Day 2

So it is the second day since I have arrived in Tioman. Now for a person who traveled at an ungodly hour and spent so much energy, it was amazing that that I manage to wake up early. So I take my camera and viola..Sunrise on the beach.Wait that sounds like a name of a cocktail.Haha.

So at this time of the hour, most people are not awake yet so I take the opportunity to explore a bit.

Yes even on this island we Malaysian still maintain the habit of confusing and annoying people with the "Papan tanda yang hebat".

This is something you don't see everyday..

Right then, once everyone got the game up, we headed to the restaurant for breakfast. After that, it was the beach again, What else?

So we walked around the beach a bit and then we headed to the Marine park which is located in another part of the island. We when by boat and the trip took about 1 hour.

The trip allowed us to get a better look at the geographical outline of the island and this is a typical scene from the boat as we head to the park.

We finally reached our destination and yes it is pretty much a research centre with a difference.

Here you are able to swim around and they have these really unique platforms made out of plastic containers.

You can be sure we had a lot of fun utilizing these platforms like cannonballing from the top.But what was more impressive was the amount of fishes at this place.

A closer look..

The fishes here and like in most resorts are pretty tame in the sense that they will approached you if you feed them. And the come in the hordes.

Well after spending time swimming around we then head to other spots to swim. Time flies by and soon it is time to return back to resort. On the way, I catch a glimpse of a Navy boat and a cruise ship.

A destroyer I think.

A cruise ship..

So after a long day of swimming and watching sea animals, this was a heavenly sight.

Food!!!

And drinks...

The results was a mountain of food and a lot of liquid being consumed.Yes I am that hungry.

After a long day,I though I had pretty much seen everything. Boy was I wrong. You know when they say that nature is wondrous and beautiful? Well I kinda understood after seeing this..

Lord you are the great creator..

The sun says goodbye..

Well it has been a great day.End of day 2.

The trip to Tioman, Day 1

So here it is.I manage to get my self to sit down and write about the trip.I will divide it to 4 posts each to represent what happen in those days

Right so picking up where I left off, I was sitting in a bus that was heading to Mersing, which is somewhere is Johor. We left about 23.00 and the journey took something like 6 hours. Truth be told, it felt more like 60 as the journey to Mersing was really intense. There was a certain stretch along the road where it was winding and dark and the bus driver was driving really fast. In front of us was a lorry and a car.

I am certain that Malaysian bus drivers are the best drivers in the world.Forget about F1, try the Malaysian Road Circuit. You will never forget the exprience and neither will the other road users as the try to cheat death.Ok so maybe I making too much of a fuss but it does appear dangerous. But at 03.00 in the morning, I am just too sleepy to bother.

So we manage to reach our destination safety thank God and at 05.00 we find ourselves in Mersing. A small town, it is I suppose a fishing village?

Yeah seawater and fresh air at last. The difference between KL and small town is that you actually take the time to see how nice the weather is in the morning. Or maybe it is just me being the tourist.

Anyhow the weather is just fine and we wait another 4 hours go get into a ferry to take us to Pulau Tioman. The journey is about 2 hours but the wait is worth it.

Once we arrive, the good folk at the resort serves us with drinks

The check in process appear to the painless and in no time we have access to our rooms.

The key to the room..

The main room

The toilet.

The scenary outside the chalet.

And as such without wasting any more time, we head for the world biggest swimming pool, the sea.Hey it was great.I have swam for quite a while so it was a good exprience.Without realising it, time caught up with us and it was dinner already.

So we headed to the restaurant for dinner and after that, I had a look around the place. This is intresting was to decorate a lamp.

This also caught my eye..

In case you were wondering what this is, it is a snout of a sawfish. It is about 100 years old and was caught around the waters of the island.Deadly weapon.

Also what would an island be without it's seawater inhabitants.

Some kind of fish..

It a crab!!

The lobster..

I then saw this sign...

Maybe I should check it out...

..........

Ach wunderbar!!! There you are... And so cheap as well. Hei maybe there is some benefit to visit our own islands after all..

12 year old Chivas going for Rm 543.00 for 4.5 litres. That enough to keep you going for 12 years? Haha.

The JD ain't too bad either. RM399 for 3 litres.Massive.

I looked around for a bit and after that it was light out.So ends the first day.
